Step-by-Step Maintenance Guide

Remove the Platter and Sub-Platter: Carefully lift off the glass/phenolic platter, remove the drive belt, and gently pull the sub-platter spindle straight up out of the brass bearing housing.

Extract the Old Bearing: Use a magnetic tool (or carefully tip the plinth) to safely remove the old steel ball bearing from the bottom of the well.

Clean the Well: Dip the provided wooden cotton buds in a tiny amount of isopropyl alcohol (optional) and gently clean out all residual grey/black oil sludge from the bottom and sides of the brass shaft.

Insert the New Bearing: Drop the brand-new, hardened chrome steel ball bearing into the clean shaft.

Apply the Oil: Apply 2 to 3 drops of the premium mineral oil directly onto the ball bearing inside the well.

Reassemble: Gently slide the sub-platter spindle back into the housing. Let it slowly sink under its own weight to avoid trapping air bubbles. Spin it by hand to distribute the oil evenly, reattach your belt, and you are ready to play!
