Philips WAC700 Repair Kit. Not reading CD, No CD Operation

Model Number: WAC700/05 WAC700/05B WAC700/22

Fault symptom: Not reading CD. CD cannot be inserted or ejected or set switched on from standby automatically and start in CD mode.

As the slot loader module has been discontinued on many occasions we have found a transistor to be at fault. First, check the transistor 7876 on the CD board. In most cases, this transistor is the cause of the problem. Simply replace the transistor to solve the problem. (Assuming the CD loader is not mechanically misaligned)
